Analyze work efficiency

Identify time-wasting activities and allocate resources better with Timebook Worklog.

Interpret work data with Worklog

At Timebook, we help you get things done. But we also want to help you evaluate how efficiently the work time is used.

We give you the Worklog module to measure and record the time spent on different activities. You can also use Timebook Worklog to ensure you distribute work evenly among Team members so that no one is overloaded.

The Worklog module uses all time-related data found across . It can calculate the time spent on . But it can also include as long as you schedule them for a specific time.

Timebook Worklog comes with filters that allow you to focus on specific people and events or particular . This means you can quickly create a big-picture view of the time you spent on various activities. But you can also look at your Team's effort or even try a detailed analysis with several filters applied.

Once you define your custom set of filters, you can save it for future use. This will allow you to see the Worklog data from the same perspective later on.

For detailed information on how to save views, see Views & layouts

Worklog structure

The Worklog module consists of three main layouts, each focused on a different aspect of time tracking and analysis. Below is an overview of how you can use them, but we also have dedicated articles in this chapter explaining all the details.

The Logs layout displays all the data that matches your filter settings. This layout is primarily informational, showing all the time booked in the system for events (including Tasks). Use [Logs] to work with the complete data set and analyze certain aspects using the filters.

The Timesheets layout shows the effort in a week-by-week view. This layout also allows you to edit the time spent on a particular Task in a given week or add more Tasks to the list. Use Timesheets to gain weekly perspectives on your work.

The Workload layout is your central location to track the workload of selected people in your Workplace. It calculates the time spent on all events by selected people and shows it against their weekly availability. Use Workload to make sure the work is distributed evenly in Teams or Planners.
