Share your Document with other Timebook users or make it publicly available.

Give others access to Documents

One key aspect of collaboration in Timebook is the ability to share work and content with a selected audience.

are no different; you can decide to share them with other Timebook users and define their access rights. You can also go broader and publish a read-only copy of your Document and let anyone with a link access it.

When a Document you share contains multiple Pages or subpages, they will all be shared with the selected people.


Share Documents with others in Timebook

Use this feature when you want to give other Timebook users access to one of your Documents. Depending on the nature of the collaboration, you can define the permissions for each person you want to share the Document with.

To share a Document in Timebook:

  1. Press [Share] in the top-right corner of your Document.

  2. In the [Share in Timebook] tab, use the dropdown to select who you want to share the Document with. You can choose members of your , of your Workplace, or all members of a different .

  3. Define access rights for each person (or group) you want to share the Document with. By default, they [Can view] the content of the Document. But you may also give them [Can edit] or [Can edit & share] permissions.

  4. Press [Save] to confirm your choices. Based on the permissions you set, selected contacts now have access to your Document.

When sharing a Document with a member or a Partner of your Workplace, you define each person's access rights individually.

However, when sharing a Document with a Team, you select the same access rights for all members of that Team.

If you only need a link to a specific Timebook Document, use the [Copy link] button at the bottom of the [Share in Timebook] tab.


Make a Document public

Use this feature if you want anyone with the link to be able to access your Document, even if they are not Timebook users. There are no editing permissions here as we publish such Documents in the view-only mode.

To publish a Document to the web:

  1. Press [Share] in the top-right corner of your Document.

  2. Go to the [Publish to web] tab.

  3. Press the [Publish] button to confirm.

  4. Your Document is now publicly available. You can share it with anyone using the [Copy link] button.

To revoke someone's access to a Document, press [Share] and then press the [X] button next to the person or group whose access you want to revoke.

To unpublish a Document, press [Share], go to the [Publish to web] tab, and turn off the [Public link] toggle. The Document links you shared with others will not work anymore.

When viewing a Timebook Document published on the web, you can change the color mode using the toggle in the top-right corner.

You can choose between the light and dark modes or use your device's system settings instead.
