Personal

Use most of Timebook's features to manage your private content and resources.

A module that feels personal

One of Timebook's key concepts is enabling modern, high-performing teams to collaborate in their preferred way. But we also have a dedicated module that puts you in the spotlight. A module you can treat as your private space to work on personal content.

The [Personal] module reuses some of the features from other Team-oriented modules. Here, you can manage Work Items, Projects, Documents, and Files. In the [Personal] module, however, the focus is on you, as you can work with data and content that is not meant to be shared.

The [Personal] module is located in the [Teams] section of the Navigator.

The lock icon next to this module indicates that it is for your exclusive use, and no other Workplace members can access its contents.

Features reused in the Personal module

Most features in the [Personal] module are reused from Timebook Teams. You can still create Work Items, group them into Projects, or run them through Sprints. The difference here is that you are the only person with access to this data.

The [Personal] module consists of several tabs (or apps, as we call them). The links below will take you to dedicated articles presenting the available apps and their features. These articles explain how to use the apps at the Team level, but they function almost the same in the [Personal] module, but without the collaborative features.

App in [Personal]Dedicated article

Goals This app is dedicated to managing your long-term objectives.

Work Items This is your one place to manage all your tasks and assignments.

Projects This app helps you group your Work Items according to their purpose.

Sprints Here, you can present the flow and progression of work as you manage your work in predefined cycles.

Inbox This app allows you to collect feedback from outside Timebook and create Tickets to store it.

Documents This is your one place to manage reports, plans, white papers, and other text-based resources.

Files This app helps you maintain a personal collection of files. You can use the files stored here in other places across Timebook.

Some of the apps presented above might not be visible at first.

You can show or hide particular apps using the [Settings] button next to the [Personal] module in the Navigator. Once in the settings, you have full control over what to display in [Personal].

Settings for this module behave exactly like any other Team settings, so for more information, see Team settings

Features unique to the Personal module

While the [Personal] module reuses several apps and features from Teams, it also includes two unique apps for managing private data. You can use them to quickly note down your ideas or create a contact book.

App in [Personal]Explanation

Notes

The [Notes] tab is meant to contain all your quick notes, and it has a middle pane for easier navigation.

You can still share a note with other Timebook users by opening the [...] menu next to a specific note and pressing [Share]. However, the primary function of this tab is to help you write your ideas down quickly.

Regarding available features, notes are mini-versions of Timebook pages, and they reuse most of their features. For more information, see Pages

Contacts

The [Contacts] tab is like your private contact book. The middle pane shows all your existing contacts. Click on a person from the list to see their contact details on the right.

You can add more contacts by using the [+] button at the top of the middle pane or pressing the [Pencil] icon at the top-right of an existing contact card to edit its details.
