Roadmaps in Timebook

A Roadmap is your work's master plan. It shows you what major tasks and milestones are coming up, helps you understand how different aspects of work link together, and lets you see the progress toward your organization's targets.

In Timebook, Roadmaps are large-scale tools that help you see the work from a bigger perspective. They also help you track Projects and Goals to control the delivery process. For easier work management, create a Roadmap and select the objects it will display using a timeline or the now/next/later view. This way, you will have one place to see all the items relevant to your delivery strategy.

Because of their scale, which often includes the entire organization, you can create Roadmaps only at the Workplace level in Timebook.

Roadmaps section features

The primary function of the [Roadmaps] section in Timebook is to give you an overview of all Roadmaps across your Workplace. This section allows you to view all Roadmaps in one place and do the following:

  • Create a new Roadmap.

  • View and edit details of the existing Roadmaps.

  • Open the [...] menu next to a Roadmap to take additional actions, such as deleting, bookmarking, or copying a link.

You can also use this section to manage all Roadmaps. Once you open a Roadmap from the list, you can:

  • View all the items belonging to the Roadmap, such as Projects or Goals. You can open any of the items to view or edit their details.

  • Pin a selected Roadmap to the Navigator for easier access.

  • Open the drawer to edit the Roadmap's properties, such as its owner and date range, and define the items you want displayed in the Roadmap.

There are different types of Roadmaps in Timebook that focus on different areas of your organization's strategy:

  • Feature Roadmaps

  • Project Roadmaps

  • Strategy Roadmaps

We have a dedicated article that explains the general concept of Roadmaps and these types. For more information, see Roadmap
