Projects (in Workplace)

View and manage Projects for the entire organization.

Projects at the Workplace level

Projects are Timebook's way of presenting structured plans to manage the delivery of products or features. Projects coordinate the work of multiple Timebook Teams, allowing everyone to see the bigger picture. Projects can also become parts of a Roadmap for your entire organization.

And the [Projects] section at the Workplace level is where you can create, track, and manage all Projects in your organization.

This tab gives you a combined view of all Projects in a Timebook Workplace.

But we also have an article that explains the actual Project concept and how to apply it in Timebook. For more information, see Project

Projects section features

The primary function of the [Projects] section is to give you an overview of all Projects across your Workplace. We give you all the relevant data, and you can do the following:

  • Create a new Project or view details of the existing ones.

  • Use layouts to change the presentation of Projects in this section.

  • Use filters to define which Projects you want to see.

  • Use different grouping options to organize Projects.

  • Save your custom views for later use.

We have dedicated articles that explain how to manage data views and layouts in several Timebook modules. For more information, see Layouts & views

Create a Project

This section can be your one place to create Projects for all Teams in your Workplace.

To create a Project:

  1. Press [Add a Project] in the top-right corner.

  2. Give your new Project a meaningful name and description.

  3. Assign the new Project to one or more Teams in the Workplace using the [Select a Team] button.

  4. Press [Save] to confirm. You can now open the newly created Project to edit its properties or start adding Work Items to it. For more information on available options, see Add Work Items to a Project

After you create a Project, it will be added to the list. You can then use the [...] button next to your Project to access additional options, such as [Edit], [Copy link], [Add to Bookmarks], or [Delete].
