Opportunities (in Teams)

View and manage all Team Opportunities in one place.

Opportunities at the Team level

We understand Opportunity as a potential market need, customer pain point, or area for improvement that could lead to the development of new features, products, or enhancements. In Timebook, you can evaluate Opportunities based on how well they align with your organization's strategic goals and assess their potential impact.

And the [Opportunities] tab at the Team level is where you can create and manage all items representing these potential areas of focus. With easy access to detailed insights and metrics, you can make informed decisions about which ideas to pursue.

This tab gives you a combined view of all Opportunities in a Team.

But we also have an article that explains the actual Opportunity concept and how to apply it in Timebook. For more information, see Opportunity

Opportunities tab features

The primary function of this tab is to show you the overview of all Opportunities across your Team. We give you all work-related data, and you can do the following:

  • Create a new Opportunity or view details of the existing ones.

  • Use layouts to change the presentation of the data.

  • Use filters to decide how much data you want to see.

  • Use different grouping options to organize the data.

  • Save custom views for later use.

We have dedicated articles that explain how to manage data views and layouts in several Timebook modules, including this one.

For more information, see Layouts & views

Create an Opportunity

You can create Opportunities in this tab and reuse them across your Team.

To create an Opportunity:

  1. Press the [+] button at the top of the list of Opportunities. The placement of this button might be different depending on the layout you applied to the data.

  2. Give your new Opportunity a meaningful name.

When editing, you can use the [Projects] section to connect your Opportunity with an existing Project in your Timebook Workplace. This way, you can easily align your strategic planning with the actual work.
