Timebook objects

Categorize your work by creating objects of different types.

Represent your work with objects

The articles in this section explain different types of work-related objects. In Timebook, objects are all the pieces of work you create in the form of tasks, stories, objectives, or even custom objects you can configure to match your working style.

In short, you can use these objects to represent any bit of work, regardless of its size. Creating work in Timebook is simple: choose the most appropriate type of object, give it a name and a proper description, and set the parameters you need. You can then link different objects together to build your preferred work management system.

You can customize each Timebook object using a variety of properties. You can change the object type, define status, set priority, and assign the work to someone else. These customization options ensure that no two tasks will look the same and save you time identifying their purpose.

The best thing about Timebook's objects is their flexibility. If you want to keep your work management simple, you can use only the default objects that come with the app. But if you need more personalization, Timebook lets you define all object types and their properties. For more information, see Item library

You can put Timebook objects in various containers to add visibility and collaboration to your work.

Containers such as Sprints and Projects will help you manage your workflows as you visualize, plan, and track your tasks and objectives. For more information, see Timebook containers

Work Item

Work Items are the most common objects in Timebook. They represent your work, and you can further define them by selecting appropriate types. This way, you can quickly create tasks, bugs, stories, or any other objects you need.

Goal

Use Goals to define objectives for your entire Workplace or a specific Team. Support your Goals with key results for easier tracking, or link them with other Timebook objects to connect objectives with actual work.

Ticket

You can receive feedback directly from emails, forms, or external apps in Timebook. We will then automatically turn this feedback into objects called Tickets, allowing you to act on them immediately or link them with other Timebook objects.

Opportunity

Timebook has a dedicated object for developing ideas that could benefit your organization. Use Opportunities to evaluate and prioritize these ideas. Then make them a reality as you connect Opportunities with your work in Timebook.
