Auto-schedule work

Let Timebook handle your work scheduling so you can have more time to get things done.

You can use the to schedule your work automatically instead of doing it all on your own. The Schedule module will work its magic and book your free time slots as efficiently as possible, considering and Work Item durations.

Use automatic work scheduling and make necessary adjustments.
Auto-schedule your Work Items
  1. In your Work Item Drawer, press [Auto-schedule].

  2. Use the [Scheduling period] dropdown to define how far ahead we can book your free time. We will always try to book the time closest to the current date and time, but if your schedule is busy, it is better to select a longer period.

  3. You can use [Include priority] and [Include due date] to focus auto-scheduling only on specific . For example, you might want to book time only for [High] priority and [Urgent] Work Items that are [Overdue].

  4. As you modify the settings, the proposed schedule changes to match your criteria. You can adjust the proposal further by dragging Work Items across the grid.

  5. Press [Schedule] when you are satisfied with the proposal.

When the duration of a Work Item is longer than any of your available free time slots, the auto-scheduler will book several slots.

We call it "item-splitting" as it allows for more flexible scheduling.

We mark all scheduled Work Items in the Drawer with the clipboard and clock icon.

You can remove the scheduling by opening the Work Item card and deleting the selected date and time.
