Version history

Track the history of changes on a Page and restore previous versions.

In Timebook, you can see how a Page changed over time. You can easily find out who made changes and when. With access to Page history, you can make the most of content management by comparing different versions and picking the one that works best.

After you select the [Version history] option in the [Meatballs] menu of a Page, you will see a modal with two panes:

  • The left pane is a list of previous versions of the Page. The name of the version is the date that changes were made. This allows you to track the development of the Page in chronological order. Press on a version to see a dropdown list of changes made and who made them.

  • The right pane is where you can preview the version you selected in the left pane. You can see what the Page looked like at that point in time. There is also the [Restore Page] button in the top-right corner; use it to overwrite the present version of the Page with the one you selected.

Restore a Page version
  1. Open the [Meatballs] menu of a Page.

  2. Select [Version history].

  3. Select one of the Page versions in the left pane.

  4. Press [Restore Page] in the top-right corner.

  5. Press [Restore] to confirm. The last version of the Page is now replaced by the one you selected.

The scope of version history may be limited, depending on the Timebook plan your Workplace is running.
