Views

Create a snapshot of your work and save it for later use.

Timebook allows you to apply filtering, grouping, and specialized layout styles to show in your preferred context. When working with large sets of items, it's crucial to save such views for later use.

You can create custom views for , , and . These views combine the filters you apply, the grouping method you selected, and the layout style you picked to present the data. Each new view can be saved for later or modified at any time.

The best thing about views is that they can be public or personal. For example, even when working on a List in the context, you can mark a view as a personal one. This way, each Planner member can see the workload in their preferred way.

Creating a customized view in Timebook
Create a new view with customized filters, grouping, and layout style. Save the view (as public or private) for later use.
Create a view
  1. When working with a List (or a Workstream or Goal), press the [+] icon in the top-left corner.

  2. Use filters, grouping, and layouts to build a view that suits your needs. For more details, see Layouts and Filters

  3. Use the dropdown in the top-right corner to [Save view] that is visible to others or [Save as private view] that is only visible to you.

  4. Name your new view and press [Save] to confirm.

  1. When working with a List (or a Workstream or Goal), make changes to filters, grouping, or layouts.

  2. To save your changes, press [Update view] in the top-right corner.

  3. Press [Update] to confirm.

Note: You can also press the [Meatballs] icon next to a view and select [Edit] to access the editing mode for views.

Press the [Meatballs] icon next to a view and select [Duplicate] to create an identical copy of the view.

Use this option when you want to create a similar view without overwriting the original one.

Views can be found in several work-management modules across Timebook.

The details of this feature might differ slightly from one module to another. But in general, you can use the options listed below to save a custom view on Work Items for later use.

You can find the [Add view] button in the top-right corner of your working area. Press it to access the options below.
