Add & edit Blocks

Build the structure effortlessly as you add and move Blocks on Pages.

When you open an empty , you can start typing immediately; this creates a new text Block at the top of the Page. But you can also add different types of Blocks.

Add a Block
  1. Press the [+] button inside the left margin of the Page.

  2. Select the type of Block you want to add from the list.

  3. The selected Block is added. It becomes the Page's section, with its own "handle" that you can use to edit the Block later.

Note: You can also type "/" to see the complete list of Block types. If you continue typing, you will see only the Block types whose names match your input.

As for images (and most types of files in general), you can add them to a Page from your device using the drag & drop functionality.


Blocks are containers that hold your content so you can fill them with relevant data: text, Work Items, files, and more. You can also move the Blocks around to change the structure of your Page. Grab the handle of a Block to drag and drop it to a new location. Some additional actions are available if you press the handle.

Block handle options

[Insert above]

This option lets you add a new Block directly above the one you are currently editing.


[Insert below]

This option lets you add a new Block directly below the one you are currently editing.


[Move to another Page]

This opens a new window with the complete list of Pages inside the current . Select one of the Pages and press [Move] to transfer the Block there.

You can also use the preview of the destination Page to place the transferred Block in a specific part of the Page.


[Delete]

This removes the Block from the current Page.

You can select multiple Blocks to copy and paste them all at once using standard keyboard shortcuts.
