Goals

Manage all the Team-related Goals in one place.

In Timebook, Goals are key elements of work management. They refer to specific and measurable objectives that members aim to achieve. We have another article that describes the whole idea: Goal concept

This article, however, explains the features of the [Goals] section of a Team. You can use it to track and manage all the Goals set for the Team members.

Overview

Manage Goals on the Team level with the available options.

The [Goals] section lets you manage a list of all the Goals created for a Team. You can use the following features here:

• [Edit] multiple Goals at once. Press the dedicated button in the top-right corner, select several Goals, and choose one of the .

• [Find] specific Goals by their name. Press the dedicated button in the top-right corner and start typing.

• [Show filters] and use them to narrow down the number of Goals on display. Press the dedicated button in the top-right corner and add filters based on different parameters. For more details, see Filters

• [Layouts] can help you see the Goals from different perspectives. Press the dedicated button in the top-right corner and change the presentation styles and grouping to match your preferences. For more details, see Layouts

• You can also press on any of the Goals to see its details on a card. You can then edit the Goal's parameters, just like you would with (both concepts are similar). For more details, see Work Item options

How to create a Goal?

This is how you create Goals for your Team in Timebok.

Create a Goal for a Team

1. In the Navigator, expand one of your Teams.

2. Select the [Goals] section.

3. Use the [New Goal] button at the bottom of the working area.

4. Give your new Goal a meaningful name.

5. Press on the newly created tile to start editing the details of your Goal. Available options are almost identical to those in Work Items. For more details, see Work Item options
